VANCOUVER, BC (April 15, 2009) - Loverboy and Sony have just released a newly remastered compilation of the band's biggest songs. Paul Dean says, "We've added a new song "I'm Alive" to bring the package up-to-date. You've probably seen the video from the New Year's Eve 2008 gig from Niagara Falls on YouTube, but this version is a little more "polished", having been edited, mixed and mastered in the studio". Paul says about the remastering, "The goal was to take 30 years of recordings from 6 albums, and a brand new recording, and make the album sound cohesive and modern. We tweaked the bottom end on most songs to make it a bit phatter, changing the earlier approach from making certain songs sound LOUD on the radio, to having a fuller mix that sounds great with a sub in the trunk, or in a hi-tech club. Fixed a few suspect edits that we never noticed until we got really inside the songs, and we're done. Now it flows, it rocks, we think the album sounds great. This is how it should be, the real thing." You can download "Loverboy Greatest Hits, The Real Thing" from iTunes.com, Amazon.com, Puretracks.com, or pick it up in stores now.
